Namaste, Grounded by Yoga community! My name is Camille Verbofsky and I will be teaching at Grounded by Yoga starting August 27. I moved to the Greater Rochester Area from Cleveland, OH this July with my husband, Evan, and my cat, Bella. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement to connect with you as we share in this practice.
Yoga found its way into my life during my tumultuous teen years. In my rural home town in Southwestern Pennsylvania, it came in the form of an MTV Yoga DVD; a birthday present from a friend. A gift that kept on giving, I grabbed a hold and never let go. In the years since, my yoga practice has taken me on a journey toward healing, self-discovery, and forgiveness.
Yoga has helped me turn my body and breath into a home; a place of power and unconditional self-love that fuels my whole way of being. My decision to teach yoga rose from gratitude for the way that my practices gives me the tools to continually grow into a happier, healthier human– and a passion to share those tools with my community. I completed my 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training with Vision Yoga and Wellness Urban Warrior Yoga Teacher Training in Cleveland, Ohio in May of 2018. I teach a Vinyasa-style class that focuses on connecting the body to the breath in an attempt to tune into that “something bigger” that unites us with one another and the world around us. My style of teaching is of compassion and authenticity; using the Baptiste methodology as a foundation for an accessible, yet challenging class that celebrates all students on their journey into their own power. Students can look forward to a fun, joyful class that encourages curiosity and exploration through asana, pranayama, and guided meditation.
Looking forward to meeting you soon!
